Gameplay Rules
#1) Do not be an ass - probably the most important rule. If someone is intentionally being a loser and isn't picking their play or trying to make things impossible to finish a game, save the state and do what you have to do. If you are a person who is inclined to being a quitter, believe me you other people will start taking notice and probably will not play you. And this should go without saying but please, one user name only! I am tracking ip addresses so if I find that two ip's are constantly matching up with two different user names, I'll prob just make both user accounts inactive. Also, try to have fun. I know that playing game after game can be a chore, but don't bitch to me about how bad my site is or how bad the game is designed. If you don't like it then don't play. I'm not making any money off of this so I shouldn't be oblidged to hear you piss and moan. Now on to the actual gameplay rules!
#2) The higher ranked player must pick first. Playing TSB 2 or TSB 3 might mean that the highest rank player would have to host (or let the other know which team he is planning to be) since the person who hosts is always player1. Try to get an OK from your opponent to make sure the matchup is good for both sides. If you are unhappy about the matchup and the other player is trying to start the game anyway, get out as fast as you can! Once the first ball is kicked, the game is on! IF you don't do this and are still mad about the matchup, well then too bad!
#3) Playbook rules work like this:
TSB1 - Each player can setup their playbook in the team data before the game starts. You can adjust your playbook ONCE during the game if you should decide to do so.
TSB2 and TSB3 - Each player can setup only ONE of their playbooks only ONCE during any part of the game - you cannot edit this before the game starts.
#4) You can use any kick/punt returner that is available for you to use. RB's are the only players who can run the ball in the RB position, but RBs can also play the WR and TE position. WR and TE can also play any position but can only run the ball if its a play designed for a WR or TE to do so.
#5) Do not skip the coin toss unless you have agreed with your opponent that it is okay to do so.
#6) Onside kicks are allowed if you are down by 7 pts or more in the first 3 quarters and is also allowed if you are down by any amount in the 4th quarter. Onsides is not allowed in OT, so please remember that! Punt the ball back in the end zone if you recover an onside by accident or punt it to at least their 20 if it is too far to punt into the endzone.
#7) There is no playing as a defensive lineman, however you can use any player you want on field goals and punts.
#8) The player on offense must wait for the defense to pick their guy before snapping the ball.
#9) There are no rules on running up a score on a guy or eating up the clock, but again please read rule #1 in case you forgot to.
#10) Tied games are accepted!! Please upload all your games! Tied games are worth 0 points to both sides.
#11) You must upload the games you played in the order that you played them. This will make a difference in how the outcome of the points come out, so please do it right the first time. If you happen to make a mistake in the order that you have uploaded them, make sure you upload them in the right order, even if it meens uploading one or more of the same game twice. Then make sure to either AIM or email me the games that need to be deleted.
#12) Make sure that one of you uploads the games right after you have played them. Like I said, this will have an effect on the points, even though it will probably be minimal.
#13) There are no simmed wins allowed on this site if a player quits on you! Quitting a game is not necessarily a bad thing on my list - quitting a game and refusing not to play it later is bad though. If someone quits on you, just save the state, and put the save state somewhere where you can possibly resume it at a later date, and don't play them until they accept to play it again. Players who actually go through the lengthy motion of reseting a game however will definitely receive an inactive account.
#14) Do not upload duplicate games! I will not count these and they will be deleted if I find them!
#15) Both players are responsible for saving the states of the games. Typically you can assign one of the players to upload all the games you played, but make sure both of you save the state of the game just in case something goes wrong, which will probably happen sooner or later!.
#16) Game disputes must be worked out between the players. I am trusting people to be decent, so try to work things out between the two of you. I am not gonna start World War 3 over a game or two on the message boards - so if someone screws you out of a win or two, drop it and never play them again. Hopefully, word will get out about this player and if they start building a reputation for quitting or lying about games, people will stop playing them.
Uploading Games
OK, all you gotta do here is login and go to the "Upload Games" link on the home page. Once there, find the game you want to upload, choose which side you were on (home or away) and select the opponent that you faced in the dropdown menu and hit the "Submit!" button. Now .zst's are about 10 times as big as a Nesticle .sta file so it will take about 10 times longer for it to upload. After it's done uploading, the extractor will do a bunch of checks on the .zst and will either show you the scores of the game or an error message stating what went wrong. If the game checks out right and the scores of the game are correct, click on the "YES" button and the site will save the game data and will redirect you to the game stats page for the game you have just uploaded.
